New Leader in Drag-N-Drive World Champion points – Corey Thompson

With the completion of Rocky Mountain Race Week 1.0, the Drag-N-Drive World Champion Points Series presented by Summit Racing has had a huge shake-up!!

We have a new leader!! Corey Thompson dominated his class in both Sick Summer and Rocky Mountain Race Week 1.0!!

For the inaugural Sick Summer 2023, Corey took the win in the Super Street class with his best drag-n-drive event yet. He ran sevens each day of the event, finishing with an average ET of 7.873 and average MPH of 180.83. Corey certainly set the bar very high for next year’s record attempts. He accumulated 36 points with his class win and seven second average at Sick Summer.

For RMRW 2023, Corey continued his domination of the Hot Rod class, completing the week with his fastest RMRW average and resetting his own record. He finished the week with an average ET of 8.087 and average MPH of 180.4, besting his RMRW 2022 averages of 8.153 and 178.92.

This netted him 37 points for the event – 26 points for completing, 7 points for winning his class, 2 points for an 8 second average, 1 point for resetting the Class ET record and 1 point for resetting the Class MPH record.

Congratulations to Corey Thompson for his hardwork and determination toward his goal of being the first Drag-N-Drive World Champion!
