Midwest Drags Announces 5th Annual Drag and Drive Event Through Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana
Yesterday marked the exciting announcement of the Midwest Drags’ much-anticipated 5th annual drag and drive event, promising four exhilarating days of racing and picturesque views along the routes in their hot rod vehicles.
Commencing at the Kentucky Dragway in Clay City, KY, on July 8th, participants will engage in technical inspections and trial runs to gear up for the action-packed week ahead. Following the completion of their two runs on July 9th, drivers will depart from the Kentucky Dragway, setting their course for the Beech Bend Raceway in Richardsville, KY. After submitting their two timeslips, racers will then steer their wheels northward toward Edgewater Motorsports Park in Cleves, OH.
Edgewater Motorsports Park, renowned for hosting numerous drag and drive events in the past and serving as the host track for Midwest Drags in 2022, promises an incredible journey down into the river basin. Its pit area, enveloped by sprawling trees, offers a comforting shade to the teams that have traversed over 500 miles in the summer heat. As the racers prepare to conclude their nomadic expedition through the Midwest, they will redirect their cars southwards toward the home track.
In an update from the organizing team, Event Registration will soon open up to their esteemed Very Important Racers (VIR) and subsequently to the general public.
Excitement surrounds the scheduled route stops during the event, with updates to the route stop schedule expected to unfold progressively. As of now, confirmed stops include Hargett Automotive & Performance in Evansville, IN, Fathouse Performance in Martinsville, IN, and Tin Soldiers Racecars in Hebron, KY.
